How long until my order ships?
Each piece is hand-drawn and laser-engraved to order. Most orders ship within 24 hours; the maximum is 48 hours. From our studio, US orders arrive in 3-10 business days (free US shipping on orders over $60), Canada in 5-15 days, Europe in 7-21 days. You'll get tracking by email when your package leaves.
Will I see what my piece looks like before you make it?
By default, no — we trust our hand-drawing process and ship most orders within 48 hours. But you can opt in to a free design preview at checkout: within 24 hours, we email the hand-drawn sketch for your approval (unlimited revisions). Engraving only starts when you say go. Opting in adds 24-48 hours.
What kind of photo should I send?
Any clear photo where your pet's face is centered and visible. Soft natural light works best. Avoid blurry photos, faces partly hidden, or heavily filtered images. For all-black or all-white pets, send the brightest photo you have. If your photo isn't ideal, we'll email you before drawing — we never make do with a bad reference.
Can I send this as a gift?
Yes — every order ships in a velvet keepsake box with a hand-tied ribbon. At checkout, you can add: discreet packaging (no prices), a handwritten note (free, up to 200 characters), or third-party shipping direct to the recipient. Your gift arrives looking like a gift.
Will my piece tarnish or fade over time?
The base is 316L surgical stainless steel; plating is vacuum-deposited. Engraving is laser-cut into the metal itself — no ink, no fill. With reasonable care (off for showers, swimming, sleep), it's built to last years. If you notice tarnishing within 6 months of normal wear, email us with photos and we'll replate or replace at our cost.
Do you make pieces for pet ashes or fur?
Yes — our keepsake pendants and urn rings hold a small amount of ashes or fur (approximately 1/4 teaspoon). Your piece arrives with the chamber accessible, a step-by-step instruction card, a small funnel kit, and a sealing tool. If you'd like to talk it through before ordering, email hello@puptrace.com.
