The square face gives the artist clean corner-to-corner space for the portrait with room for the name below. Line weights are calibrated for this size so ear folds and whiskers read at arm's length. If your reference photo can't carry the detail, we'll reach out before drawing.
What photo works best for engraving?
Clear face shot, soft natural light, eyes visible. Front-facing or slight angle works best. Flash and heavy filters reduce detail. If your photo isn't usable, we hold the order and ask for another rather than guess.
What is the heart charm?
A decorative accent that dangles on its own jump ring next to the square plate. It moves independently, catches the light, and gives the piece a second element the disc and bone shapes don't carry. Purely visual, not functional.
